Welcome to Bella Maltese
I am Dr. Faye Owens, and I am owned by a group of Maltese who help to
make my life complete. I got my first Maltese, Lucy, to work with me in my
office to comfort anxious and/or depressed patients. Little did I know she
would not only work wonders for them, but open new doors for me into
the wonderful world of Maltese. I soon found myself studying the breed,
attending shows, and asking questions of anyone in the know about
Maltese. I'm still learning. Sometimes I think that I'm still in "elementary
school" in Maltese knowledge, as it is such a fascinating experience with so
much left to learn.

I am extremely proud of my dogs and their quality. I find the planning and
execution of showing and breeding to be one of the most rewarding things
I have encountered. I feel blessed to have been entrusted with fine
specimens of the breed. Because others have trusted me to have a
representation of their hard work by selling me dogs. I am committed to
selling dogs to continue these fine lines only on show contract or to
approved pet homes. From time to time, pet pups are available, and they
are sold only on spay/neuter contract.

My two legged children are grown, and these four legged ones are my
babies. My home is their home. I am not advocate of keeping dogs in
crates, and prefer mine to be stretched on the sofa or resting in my bed.
When I am blessed with a litter of pups I either raise them in my bedroom
or the sun room where they get an abundance of care and attention. I am
fortunate that my work schedule allows me to be flexible so I am there
when my dogs need me.

If you are interested in learning more about my dogs or breeding program,
I will be happy to answer your questions. Because I do have an active work
schedule and do not take  phone calls when I am with a patient, I ask that
you start by emailing me. The process of obtaining a pup from me starts
with us getting to know one another. It is important that you feel
comfortable with me as a breeder, and I feel comfortable with you as an
owner of one of  my dogs. After the initial email, I will be happy to either
call you, or provide my number so that you can give me a call.
